On Linkedin, I was the Editor-in-Cheif for a day, so that just inspired confidence from everyone.

It’s been a little over a month since I joined the marketing company I had been freelancing for over the last year. A little over a month since I took on the role and started leading a writing department. I’ve been working with clients and learning so much that it’s kind of Mind boggling to see how far I have come since last year.

It struck me a moment ago that I had achieved one of my life goals:

Become a paid writer (successful is still on the fence)

In large part, this is due to the confidence that I got from this blog and Pocket Change. While most of My Deslexic World’s posts sound like the overdramatic retelling of a teenage girl’s life, it no doubt built up my self-esteem and allowed me to hone my skills. Add on the views and follows from readers, whether they interacted or not, also gave a nice little boost.

Getting the position wasn’t easy and it still isn’t but I have a wonderful team that fills in the gaps.

I still have several goals and milestones ahead, but I’ve cleared one of my biggest hurdles. So I wanted to stop in and say thank you. To this blog, to the readers, and to myself for sticking with it.
